Having already confirmed artists such as Arctic Monkeys, Dua Lipa and Kings Of Leon, Budapest’s Sziget Festival is vying to be the event of the year with this incredible second batch of artists, which includes Justin Bieber, Anne-Marie, Calvin Harris, Tame Impala, Sam Fender, Tourist, Folamour, Steve Aoki, Nina Kraviz, Kölsch and many more.

As part of this second announcement, Canadian superstar Justin Bieber will join Sziget as part of his Justice World Tour, which kicked off this February in the United States. Bieber will visit Liberty Island with a brand-new set of songs under his arm after releasing his sixth studio album Justice last March, including several hits such as “Anyone” and “Ghost“, and the worldwide smash hit “Peaches“. A must-see, this summer, will be Justin Bieber’s return to Europe from his Purpose world tour back in 2017.

British pop sensation Anne-Marie will bring her infectious energy to the Sziget main stage in 2022 to the delight of her fans around the world. Climbing the charts with her hit album Therapy released in June last year, the singer has a wealth of recent achievements under her belt, ranging from becoming a presenter on The Voice UK, or numerous chart-topping single releases with artists such as Doja Cat and Nathan Dawe, or announcing her Dysfunctional tour for 2022, to her vocal performance in the upcoming Disney film Turning Red. Anne-Marie is truly one of the biggest pop stars in the world today and an incredible addition to the current line-up.

Joining her will be Australian rockers Tame Impala, bringing their inimitable psychedelic sound to Sziget’s main stage. Since the release of debut album Innerspeaker in 2010, the band have received critical acclaim for everything they’ve done, and have created an incredible catalogue of modern classics such as “The Less I Know Better”, “Borderline” and “Make It Happen”, not to mention their recent sold-out tour, the boys are primed and ready to set Sziget alight.

Another impressive addition to the Sziget line-up is the man of the moment, Sam Fender. The rising star of the UK music scene already has global status since winning the Critic’s Choice at The Brit Awards in 2019, as well as being nominated for an Ivor Novello in 2020. With the second album Seventeen Going Under topping album charts everywhere since its release in October 2021 and going viral on TikTok. The young British musician is ready to show any audience why he is here to stay.

Sziget also confirms a wealth of talent for its huge Colosseum stage. World-renowned Russian superstar DJ/producer Nina Kraviz will headline a star-studded line-up of electronic music, including the inimitable Seth Troxler, Danish producer extraordinaire Kölsch and a highly anticipated b2b from the enigmatic Denis Sulta and Mella Dee, with many more acts still to be announced.

Joining them on the bill are global superstars Steve Aoki and Calvin Harris, cult Spanish trap and dancehall artist Bad Gyal, Parisian producer extraordinaire Folamour, festival mainstay Tourist, German rockers Milky Chance, British singer-songwriter Holly Humbertstone and many more.

Sziget

In addition to the headliners, Sziget brings together a programme of world music, cabaret, comedy, screenings, workshops, wellness activities, installations, performances and art, as well as boat parties and much more on Sziget Beach. Located in the heart of Budapest on Óbuda Island, Sziget is a community-built festival known as the Island of Freedom, attended by Szitizens from over 100 countries each year, the festival is dedicated to embracing diversity as part of its Love Revolution, using the power of community to celebrate and bring love, acceptance, tolerance and freedom to the heart of Budapest and beyond.
