Joan Jett Blakk, stage name and alias of Terence Alan Smith (Michigan, Detroit, 1957), activist, political candidate, advocate for race, freedom, sexual diversity, drag queen, was a dream come true. And like any dream, it sowed the earth and transcended into future generations like the echo of a slow but steady gong from which it is difficult to say goodbye.
