My French Film Festival is the first online French film festival, which this year comes to us triple framed by the lucky number, it will be the 13th edition and will take place between January the 13th and February the 13th. For an entire month, Internet viewers from all over the world will be able to access a program that showcases the creative power of French and French-speaking cinema.
Some of the selected films have premiered at international festivals, such as Cannes, and have won awards and critical acclaim. The program of My French Film Festival (MFFF) includes 29 films, covering different genres such as documentary, drama, comedy or animation. On the other hand, it should be noted that the selection has been evenly balanced, as 16 of these films are directed by women.
The Festival has the collaboration of some seventy distribution platforms, through which it will be possible to access the full-length and short films, which are subtitled in twelve languages: German, English, Korean, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Russian, as well as, for the first time, Arabic, Mandarin and Ukrainian. In addition, some of the films are also available with subtitles in Bahasa, Hungarian, Romanian, Turkish and Vietnamese on local Video On Demand (VOD) platforms.
This availability demonstrates the international and inclusive vocation of the festival which, promoted by UniFrance, the organization for the diffusion of French cinema and audiovisual arts around the world, makes all its short films available to a global audience free of charge. Access to the feature films is affordable, since their price is €1.99 (individually), with the possibility of purchasing a package for the entire program (except for possible local blocks) for €7.99. However, the festival is totally free for African countries, Latin America, Southeast Asia, South Korea, Poland, Romania, Russia and Ukraine.
The Festival has two juries, one international and the other composed of film critics, who will announce their awards on February 10, while those of the public will be disclosed at the end of the festival.
The official partners of the festival are the French Government, CNC, Institut Français, Téléfilm Canada, Wallonie Bruxelles Images. My French Film Festival also has international media partners, including EL HYPE, as well as others like Variety, France Médias Monde, RFI, France 24, TV5MONDE, AlloCiné, Focus Taiwan, Orange and El País.
