82nd Venice Film Festival: Awards

The Venice Film Festival has come to an end with an edition marked by politics and outstanding films, all of which we have thoroughly covered in the reports by Gian Giacomo Stiffoni and Ariadna González, and here is the list of awards decided by the juries of the different sections, featuring the expected presence of Kaouther Ben Hania’s magnificent film, along with a few surprises.

Competition

The Official Competition jury, chaired by Alexander Payne and made up of screenwriters, directors, actors, producers, and scriptwriters:  Stéphane Brizé, Mohammad Rasoulof, Fernanda Torres, Maura Delpero, Cristian Mungiu, and Chinese actress Zhao Tao,has presented the following awards:

Orizzonti

The jury for the Orizzonti section was chaired by French director Julia Ducournau, winner of the Palme d’Or at Cannes with Titane in 2021, joined by Italian director and video artist Yuri Ancarani, Argentine critic Fernando Enrique Juan Lima, Shannon Murphy, who competed in Venice with her debut film Babyteeth, and American director RaMell Ross.
