Profile

The MyMetaStories online and Minecraft® Festival, of which EL HYPE is once again a media partner, returns for its second edition, from 11 October to 3 November. We will discover young European cinema in a selection of seven feature films and thirteen short films, from 14 countries, which will be available in 6 languages: German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese. Filmgoers from all over the world will once again have the opportunity to enjoy these productions through more than 30 VoD platforms, partners of the festival. Ten of these productions have been directed or co-directed by women and the selection includes films from the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden.

From 18 to 21 October, we will enjoy an exclusive festival experience in Minecraft®. MyMetaStories is an innovative initiative by Unifrance, supported by the European Commission’s MEDIA program, which, as demonstrated in its first edition, has successfully managed to awaken young audiences, especially gamers, to the value of young European cinema, making use of their leisure habits and environments.

MyMetaStories

The Minecraft® project consists of creating an in-game cinema, where the festival’s short films are screened to attract this audience of players and gradually lead them towards feature films and more traditional forms of content consumption, such as those offered on video-on-demand platforms or in real cinemas. Gamers can watch films, play mini-games about selected films, interact with other cinephiles from around the world, and connect with influencers and their communities, creating a bridge between the worlds of video games and European cinema. The languages available for the festival in Minecraft® are English, French, and Spanish.
